The question came out of the blue, as nothing really led to it.
Many Nigerians have taken to the thread to explain the meaning and etymology of the word to the American.
Some are even including illustrations so that the lady would have no doubt about what Nigerians call ‘Nyansh’
The thread has gained over 3.8 million views and has generated over 1,200 comments.
It’s safe to say that over three million Americans are now better informed about that word. (Lol)
