Nigerian Singer, Oxlade has explained why he restricted the DM of his late colleague, Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known as Mohbad, while he was alive.
Recall that Oxlade ran into a public storm recently when he shared a snapshot of his chat with Mohbad while he was paying tribute to him upon his death.
However, eagle-eyed netizens noticed a restricted account icon on the DM, suggesting that he placed his colleague on restriction during his lifetime.
Netizens reacted immediately, blasting Oxlade for hypocrisy and eye-service, arguing that he placed his colleague on restriction while he was alive and shedding crocodile tears for the benefit of the public when he is dead.
Reacting to the backlash, Oxlade clarified that his account is managed by his record label and he restricted some accounts to prevent his team from accessing some private conversations.
He insisted Mohbad was his friend and that his account and other close friends were restricted so that his team members would know that it is out of bound for them.
He condemned the bullying he had faced on social media starting from his leaked sextape with a lady and the developments that followed.

Note: I only restrict accounts I have a personal relationship with, because my label runs my account in other not to miss important bookings and business conversations. So the restricted account is a way of pointing out to my label that the messages from these accounts are private and they come from my close friends.
