The controversies surrounding the death of singer Mohbad (real name Promise Aloba) continue to deepen as an alleged audio exchange between him and his wife, Omowunmi, emerges.
Before now, the maltreatment, bullying and harassment the artiste received from his old record label was the main topic of discussion among the fans of the late musician.
But now the audio suggests that there was no peace between the artiste and his wife as well.
In the trending audio purported to be an exchange between Mohbad and Omowunmi, the singer could be heard accusing his wife of conspiring against him, alleging she faked illness to access his WhatsApp.
Mohbad disclosed an incident where he refused to wear a specific piece of clothing, viewing it as a threat to his life.
The late artist pledged that his family would take legal action against his girlfriend, emphasizing the lack of respect he received.
The exchange sheds light on a turbulent relationship between the couple, who had been together for over a decade.
From the audio clip, it appeared Mohbad was angry that Omowunmi tried to gather information from his WhatsApp device by feigning illness.
Mohbad believed that she intended to use this information after his passing, raising suspicions about her motives.
Moreover, Mohbad disclosed an incident involving a particular piece of clothing that he vehemently refused to wear.
He claimed that Omowunmi insisted on him wearing it, a decision he interpreted as a potential threat to his life.
The artist expressed his concern over Omowunmi’s actions and pledged that his family would take legal action against her.
Throughout the audio exchange, Mohbad repeatedly emphasized that he had not received the respect he deserved from his partner and resorted to using derogatory language against her.
