The Department of State Services (DSS) interrogated two brothers of Abdulrasheed Bawa, the EFCC chairman who has been placed on administrative leave.
Yazid and Bashir Bawa, who both work for the EFCC and the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), respectively, are among the two brothers, according to Gistlover.
In order to question the suspended EFCC boss’s brothers, the secret police reportedly invited both of them.
Additionally, a bulletproof vehicle and the most recent Mercedes-Benz were purportedly found with them.
The platform revealed that while the Bawa brothers were reportedly detained on August 25 and released a few days later, the SSS agents also detained Rufa’i Zaki and Daniela Jimoh, who worked as Bawa’s personal assistants, on August 31.
It would be recalled that on June 14 President Bola Tinubu suspended Bawa from his position indefinitely. The following day, the secret police detained Bawa.
According to the government, his suspension was to allow for a thorough investigation into his behaviour while in office as a result of “weighty allegations” of abuse of office against him.
Since then, Bawa has remained in the DSS’s custody while awaiting charges.
