The General Overseer and Founder of the Omega Power Ministries (OPM), Apostle Dr. Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, has agreed to take responsibility for the child allegedly born to him by his former church member, Imaobong Loveth Sunday.
It would be recalled that Imaobong Loveth Sunday broke the internet recently when she came out with an allegation that she slept with the cleric many times and was impregnated by him.
She alleged that Apostle Chibuzor was the father of her son. The story went viral and the Apostle responded by saying that the lady was part of an orchestration by an enemy trying to bring him down.
However, on September 1, 2023 newsmen were allowed to meet with Apostle Chibuzor to clear the air on the issue.
A certain Bishop Sodje Masodje led other pastors to the residence of the Founder of Omega Power Ministries, Apostle Dr. Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, with newsmen in tow, over the scandalous news that he’s the biological father of Imaobong’s son.
During a press briefing, Apostle Dr. Chibuzor Gift Chinyere told the newsmen that he would not deny any child because his parents never denied him.
The cleric said there are over a thousand children he is sponsoring who are bearing his name. He said some are in the university in the United States of America and other countries.
He said every one of the children bearing his name has been provided for in his will. He said he has a passion for helping people and that he built free hospitals with everything in that hospital made free for the public.
He said: “I have affected lives, I have over 500 children in my house, free schools for the less privileged ones.”
He also said there were over 4.000 persons under his scholarship all over the world.
Apostle Chibuzor said that out of his benevolent nature, he had made so many people millionaires through the power of God.
He said, “I felt so shocked and unhappy over the allegations of Miss Imaobong loveth Sunday. Only God knows how I have been supportive of her, and I can’t say much.”
“I have forgiven her and I have agreed to take in that child as my own and also shoulder his responsibility. Please tell Loveth to bring the child for me.”
Bishop Sodje Masodje in a chat with newsmen thanked Dr. Chinbuzor for his good works and for accepting the alleged child as his own.
He also called on Miss Imaobong Loveth Sunday to bring the child to Apostle Chibuzor who is now ready to take the child and take care of him.
Bishop Sodje said he believed that Miss Imaobong’s reason for crying out in the first place was that Apostle Chibuzor was not taking care of her son.
“Now Apostle has agreed to take responsibility for the child,” he added.
