A man has found himself in a bigger mess when he escaped from prison officials with only four months left for him to be officially released.
Daily Mail reports that 21-year-old Shunekndrick Huffman broke out of a Mississippi, USA, prison in 2022.
He was being led into a facility without any handcuffs when he saw an opportunity to escape and bolted, scaling several fences.
The prison officials apparently did not consider him a flight risk considering that he was about to be officially released. This would explain why they did not cuff him and were rather careless with him as the footage of his dramatic escape shows.
He successfully made it out of the facility in 2022 but went into crime again as he broke into a nearby home and held three people at gunpoint for hours.
Additionally, Huffman stole a car from one of the individuals he was holding hostage and crashed it as he fled. Following that, the police discovered Huffman hiding in a trash can and rearrested him.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of kidnapping.
He was then sentenced to a 40-year prison term.
The story of Huffman has excited the internet with many people offering their opinions.
