The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has explained why former Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, was not grilled when he appeared before the Senate for screening as a ministerial nominee.
Senators listened to his profile read out on the floor of the Senate, and then asked him to take a ‘bow and go’.
Explaining the reason behind this, Akpabio stated that the Senate had his records as he had served as a minister in Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
He said:
“Having been nominated again for a ministerial position, there is no point asking him much questions.”
