A banner displaying the picture of Nigerian singer, Davido, has been set ablaze by Muslims in Maiduguri.

This is coming after the singer was called out for sharing a music video of his new signee, Logos Olori, praying and dancing with people dressed in Islamic outfit in front of a mosque.

Davido bowed to pressure and deleted the tweet after many Muslims insisted that it was offensive and disrespectful as a mosque is not a dance club.

This, however, did not satisfy some northern Muslims some of whom asked Davido to apologise.

Davido’s fans spent a major part of today commenting on the issue, with the topic ‘apologise’ trending for hours.

Many of the singer’s fans believe he has done enough by deleting the music video and therefore called on him to ignore the call for him to apologise.
