A Nigerian pastor, Rev. Ogbonnaya Igwe, has narrated how he almost sent a female barber away after his personal assistant brought her to cut his hair.
He said he was on the verge of rejecting her when something told him that sending her away was contrary to his preaching.
Writing further, Rev. Igwe, said a woman in a male-dominated field is an inspiration to young ladies who depend on men for financial help.
“The man that used to cut my hair traveled, and I sent my PA to go and get me another person to come,” he wrote in a Facebook post on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.
“When I saw this lady come to cut my hair, I wanted to refuse and send her back but something in me said, this is what you used to preach, never go contrary to your preaching, that one can always make a difference.
“The spirit of God ministered to me to encourage her. This young lady is a great inspiration to many young ladies out there who are depending on men or others for financial help. She knows how to make women’s hair and men, I am thinking of opening a Unisex Salon for her, so she can have her own shop to inspire and train many other ladies, as I trust God for provision. We all can make a difference in a different way to inspire our generation. Working is better than begging.”
