Media personality, Theo Akatugba, has raised an alarm over what he called ‘the extortion going on’ at the Murtala Mohammed 2 Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.
In a video that has now gone viral, Akatugba said he was at the airport to pick up a passenger and parked at the designated parking area.
He stated that when his passenger arrived he drove to the front of the airport to pick him up only to be stopped by some men working for a company known as Don Right, who accused him of violating the regulation of the airport about passenger pick up.
He said he told them he did not spend up to a minute to pick up the passenger, but his pleas fell on deaf ears. He said he was told the front of the airport was only meant for dropping passengers off.
When he told them he had always picked up passengers from the same spot, he said he was told that the regulation had recently been changed.
He claimed he paid the fine of over N32,800 twice because they claimed they did not see his first payment even though he was debited.
He called on BiCourtney to call his concessionaire and its agents to order because they were making the airport painful to use.
