The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has disowned the widely circulated notice of impending tariff hike as from July 1st.
A statement had been made by the company on Sunday, June 25, to the effect that the tariff would go up by July 1. The company said the increment was due to the fluctuation of the exchange rate.
In a fresh statement released on its Twitter handle today, the AEDC said no approval had been granted for increase in tariff.
