Comedian Akpororo dragged for saying that LP presidential candidate, Peter Obi will be in court for 8 years

Comedian Akpororo is currently trending after a video of one of his performances where he was heard saying that the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, will be in court for eight years fighting for his mandate.

Recall that Obi is in court over the 2023 presidential election in which President Bola Tinubu was announced as the winner.

During a recent gig, Akpororo asked his listeners if Obi is still in court. After they affirmed that the court case is still ongoing, he interjected by saying “Obi will be in court for 8 years”.

Many netizens, especially ‘obidients’ (followers of Peter Obi) have been dragging him all day over the statement.

However, Akpororo was not dissing Peter Obi during his performance. He was actually speaking in his favour.

In the full version of his routine on the election, Akpororo said Obidients ought to have agitated right after the election and not allow the matter to drag for long.

He said the country’s judicial system would not deliver justice in good time, adding that the case instituted by Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party against former President Muhammadu Buhari was still ongoing long after the man had finished his term and gone home. His listeners laughed at the joke.
