Hotelier reportedly beaten to death by his two sons for cheating on their mother

A popular hotelier, Emekeme Joseph, otherwise known as Semikolo, has died following complications from an injury sustained in a fight with his sons in Delta State.

Reports indicated that the late hotelier was severely beaten by his sons following a confrontation over his alleged infidelity.

It was reported that the sons had initially demanded a bribe of one million naira from their father after they caught him with a mistress.

The inducement was so that they would not tell their mother what they saw. Their father rebuffed the two sons who recently graduated from a prominent university in Ota.

The sons thereafter carried out their threat of informing their mother who was said to be in the United States of America on vacation.

The following day, the father visited his wife’s workplace, and upon spotting him, the sons confronted and forcibly expelled him from the premises.

According to insiders, the father returned home in anger and confiscated his sons’ car keys, provoking their fury. They physically attacked him, inflicting blows and kicks, and even injured a police officer when the father called for assistance.

Subsequently, the sons were apprehended by the authorities, while the father was rushed to the hospital. As his condition rapidly deteriorated, he was transferred to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, where he fought to survive.

In a surprising turn of events, the wife hastily returned to the country and managed to secure the release of her sons from police custody.

Against medical advice, she discharged her comatose husband from UBTH and brought him back home in Ugbeyiyi, where he tragically passed away.

Disturbingly, when Joseph’s friends reached out to his wife, she deceitfully claimed they were in Lagos.

Following the incident, it has been observed that Joseph’s wife changed her name on all her social media accounts, reverting to her maiden name and omitting her husband’s name.
