Moment disgruntled Ugandan policeman shot dead Indian moneylender (Video)
A policeman, constable Ivan Wabwiire, is on the run after he shot and killed Uttam Bhandari, the director of TFS Financial Services, a money-lending firm, near Yako Bank at Raja Chambers along Parliamentary Avenue in Kampala Uganda.
Wabwire had visited the firm get a quote to take to another bank to buy over the debt he owed the firm since 2020.
A disagreement reportedly ensued between the suspect and the Indian over the actual amount to be paid back to the firm.
Wabwire then got hold of his gun, aimed at Bhandari and fired three bullets into his body about 1.30 pm on Friday.
He walked out of the office and then returned to where the victim was lying down and pumped more bullets into him before finally exiting the office.
“A man just walked into a money lender’s office here at Raja chamber, shot an Indian guy dead and he majestically walked out. I just heard bullets next to me. Yes, our office wall is the separator,” the message shared on social media platforms read in part.
The runaway cop allegedly arrived the scene of crime on motorcycle and left using the same after the gruesome act.
He allegedly abandoned the murder weapon at the Kampala Central police station (CPS) before disappearing.
The incident comes less than two weeks after the state minister for Labour, Charles Okello Engola, was shot dead by his army bodyguard Pte Wilson Sabiiti.
