A security guard has been arrested by the police after he was accused of defiling a 4-year-old girl.
The man was picked up after he had reportedly bragged about being untouchable.
The Lagos police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the arrest of the suspect who works at Greater Scholars International School. He also debunked claim of the police having no interest in pursuing the case.
He told newsmen:
“How exactly do you mean ‘the police are not answering?’ The suspect has been arrested and is still in custody. A medical report that would ensure a conviction is being expected.
“We don’t pander to emotions but deal with evidence to prove issues beyond reasonable doubt.”
