Hon. Ismail Maihanci who is a member-elect of Jalingo, Yorro and Zing, Federal Constituency in Taraba State, has died.
His demise was disclosed by a presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad, on Twitter this morning April 22.
Posting via his handle, Bashir wrote: ”Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un! Just received a sad news about the passing of our brother, Hon. Ismail Maihanci, a member-elect of Jalingo, Yorro and Zing, Federal Constituency in Taraba State. May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings and grant him Jannah al-Firdaus.
Family sources say the politician who contested on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP died in the early hours of Saturday, April 22, after a brief illness.
May his soul rest in peace, Amen.
