Wife kills husband after he discovered their 19-year-old houseboy is wife’s biological son
A 36-year-old lawyer, identified as Abasiesebanga Ikoiwak has been arrested for allegedly killing her husband, Barrister Godwin Ikoiwak.
According to reports, about five others have also been arrested for the killing of Barrister Godwin Ikoiwak.
Barrister Godwin Ikoiwak had reportedly complained to a colleague, Barrister Sunny Anyanwu in a phone conversation that he was having issues with his wife over infidelity.
Sunny Anyanwu said his friend told him that he reported the matter to his wife’s family who invited him to a meeting in their family compound in Nung Udoe Itak, Ikono Local Government Area. He did not return home alive.
Barrister Anyanwu also disclosed that his late friend told him that his wife was having sexual relationship with her former boss, a legal practitioner, (name withheld).
He further revealed that the wife of his friend brought in a 19-yar-old boy to be a house boy but it later turned out to be the son of the wife whose existence was hidden from the husband.
The prosecution team led by the Director of Public Prosecutions, Akwa Ibom State, Barr. Joseph Umoren tendered the audio recordings which was played in the open court.
