Meet soccer star, Tendai Ndoro, who registered his property in wife’s name and lost it all in divorce

His wife took his house, sleek cars

As the story of PSG footballer, Achaf Hakimi, continues to hug the limelight and generate debate, netizens have dug out the story of another footballer who trusted his wife and lost out.

Tendai Ndoro, was a former Zimbabwean International and Warriors striker. He had a very successful career in South Africa and ended up marrying a South African. It ended in premium heartache for Tendai.

Tendai Ndoro’s wife, Thando Maseko, full name Thandekile Grace Maseko was reportedly born in August 1983.

She was not known until she married the successful footballer in a lavish ceremony on September 20, 2017 in Johannesburg.

The footballer reportedly found it more convenient to register his property in the name of an indigene, his wife, since he was not a South African.

Trouble however began between Tendai Ndoro and his wife barely six months into the couple’s marriage.

In June 2018, the former Orlando Pirates striker was arrested by the police for reportedly physically assaulting his wife.

The footballer who was charged with assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm reportedly strangled his wife and threw a television set at her.

The cause of the fight was traced to allegations of infidelity.  Thando Maseko reportedly accused Tendai Ndoro of cheating on her.

It degenerated into a physical fight during which the two fought over car keys. According to Thando Maseko, Tendai Ndoro asked her for car keys but she refused to give them to him as she wanted to use the car to drop off her son in school and that’s when he became physical and started strangling her while searching for the keys.

Tendai was detained by the police and was later released on R 1000 bail after spending a weekend in jail.

Thando Maseko allegedly kicked Tendai Ndoro out of their Kyalami home in Johannesburg, South Africa and she kept all their property including his fleet of sleek cars.

The ex-wife later reacted to the backlash in the media, as people criticized her for her action.

Thando Maseko claimed that the two did not live in Kyalami during their marriage but they lived in a rental apartment.

She also claimed the footballer did not own any property during their marriage but had gotten wealthy after their breakup following club transfers.
