A wedding was ruined on Saturday, April 8, when fire broke out at the venue and sent guests scurrying out of the hall.
All was said to be going on fine at the wedding reception holding at Yard 158, an event centre in Oregun, Lagos, until some of the visual effects planned to make the occasion grand went awry.
Reports indicated that the firecrackers activated as part of the celebrations caught the drapes used to decorate the hall.
The fire reportedly spread very quickly defying the efforts of the organisers to douse it.
The MC can be heard announcing to guests to vacate the hall quickly but without pushing each other.
Some people can be seen using fire extinguishers to combat the inferno.
It was gathered that no one was hurt in the incident.
