Abba Kabir Yusuf of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has emerged as the winner of the governorship election in Kano State.
He defeated the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s candidate in Saturday’s governorship election in Kano State.
The Returning Officer, Prof. Ahmad Doko Ibrahim declared Abba Kabir Yusuf the winner after polling 1,019,602 votes against Nasir Gawuna of the APC’s 890,705 votes.
As a measure to calm the post-election tension, the Kano State government has imposed a curfew.
