Chrisland: Whitney’s autopsy done, police await result

The autopsy to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of a pupil of Chrisland International School, Whitney Adeniran, has been done.

This was disclosed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, to the Punch on Monday.

He however told the publication that the result of the autopsy was yet to be out simply because the toxicology report on the case was still being awaited.

“The autopsy for the Chrisland pupil has been done but the result is not out. We are waiting for a toxicology report,” Hundeyin said.

Recall that Whitney Adeniran, a pupil of Chrisland School, Opebi, Lagos, slumped and died at the venue of the school’s inter-house sports at Agege Stadium a few days ago.

The parents of the deceased insisted that she was hale and hearty while going to school and alleged that there was more to the incident than the school was revealing.

The school said there was no hanky panky and maintained that the child slumped in full public view.

However, an audio clip circulated a couple of days later suggesting that the child was electrocuted.

The voice of a child could be heard narrating how Whitney went to a popcorn/candy machine and touched it with wet hands and got electrocuted.

The Lagos State Government later shut the Opebi arm of the school pending the investigation of the incident.
