Supermarkets owners in Ogun State are now between the devil and the deep blue see, as the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun warned that any supermarkets which turned down old naira notes will have its licence revoked and its certificate of occupancy revoked.
He insisted that the old notes must be used without fear in accordance with the ruling of the Supreme court.
This contradicts the directive given by President Muhammadu Buhari that the N500 and N1000 should cease to be legal tender. He only allowed the N200 note to coexist with the new notes till April 10.
