Turkey Earthquake: Ghanaian footballer, Christian Atsu still missing- Agent

Christian Atsu’s agent has debunked the claim that the Ghanaian footballer had been rescued from the rubble of an earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria.

The 31-year-old former Newcastle and Chelsea player was reportedly rescued after his voice was heard under the rubble of his home in Turkey on February 7th.

Recall that a spokesman for his club Hayatspor said on Tuesday that the winger had been rushed to hospital with unspecified injuries after a miracle rescue.

However, in a statement released on Wednesday, February 8, his agent, Nana Sechere said that this was not correct.

“Following yesterday’s update from the club that Christian had been pulled out alive, we are yet to confirm Christian’s whereabouts.

As you can imagine, this continues to be a deva§tating time for his family & we are doing everything we can to locate Christian,” he said in the statement posted on Twitter.
