'287 million' new Naira notes found in bank vault

Commercial bus drivers and tricyclists in Enugu today blocked the highway around Agbakpa to protest the scarcity of Naira and fuel.

As a result of this action, many road users experienced untold hardship when navigating the area.

A road user filmed the incident and posted it on Twitter.

Similarly, some residents of Ibadan carried out some protests again today to press home their demand for government to resolve the issue of naira scarcity.

Meanwhile, there are multiple reports of many commercial banks hoarding millions of naira while Nigerians are unable to access cash to live their lives.

A recent raid by officials of CBN and ICPC busted a bank branch allegedly holding N287 million in its vault while their customers are languishing outside without access to their cash.
