A groom is a butt of jokes online after he was so engrossed in his smartphone that he completely ignored a critical part of the wedding reception, the cutting of the cake.
The clip shows the MC calling on the groom over the booming public address system to alert him to the next stage in the ongoing wedding reception.
The groom paid him no attention.
The MC faced the groom and shouted: Sir! I like the way you are posing. Spread your legs. Spread your legs, sir.”
The groom did not even look up for once. He just focused on whatever he was doing on the phone.
The embarrassed bride cast a look backwards to see what was going on with her groom, but quickly returned to face the towering wedding cake in front of her.
Many people have diverse opinions to share on the incident online.
Someone suggested that the groom’s baby mama was probably threatening to bring his baby to his wedding reception and he was trying to calm her down.
Another suggested that the man was checking his bet, and had probably just realised he had lost his stake.
“He was telling his girlfriend that it’s she that he loves, but he wants to marry this one because of his mother” wrote one commenter
Yet another wrote: “This is what happens when you are forced to get married. Clearly the bride is marrying and the groom couldn’t careless”
