Girl, 7, others shot outside church in London

A seven-year-old girl and three women were shot outside a funeral at the St Aloysius Church on Phoenix Road in London on Saturday.

The girl and the other victims of the shooting were rushed to the hospital following the injuries they sustained.

The police said it was a drive-by attack just outside Euston Station about 1.30 pm on Saturday.

According to a report by MyLondon, medics found the women, aged 48, 54 and 41 all suffering from bullet wounds along with the seven-year-old.

All four victims were said to be immediately rushed to the hospital with the condition of the 48-year-old woman potentially life-changing.

Police believe the gunshots came from a moving vehicle which immediately fled the scene. The funeral the victims were attending prior to the shocking attack is believed to be that of a woman who died of leukaemia.

A witness who claims they were inside St Aloysius Church when the incident took place told a MyLondon reporter at the scene: “It was chaos. It was horrible.

“No one knew if it was a bomb or gunman. We were looking for places to hide. We all just snuggled into corners where we could. We left after about 10 minutes, I did not dare [leave before]. It was not nice.”

    1. The headline says four victims, just as the body of the story. No false headline at all. The figure, 7, refers to the girl’s age not the number of victims. That’s why it’s in parenthesis or commas. Thanks for your feedback.
