Uganda is in outrage following the emergence of a series of video clips showing the torture and humiliation of a pretty young girl accused of befriending another lady’s boyfriend.
The clips show how a group of girls heavily descended on a young girl in an apartment.
Reports indicated that the victim was lured into the flat by her friend who was told by her boyfriend that her friend was making a pass at him.
The girlfriend invited other friends to hide in the apartment before the arrival of the victim, identified as Pretty Nicole.
Armed with canes, the ladies mercilessly flogged Nicole. Thankfully, she did not use a kitchen knife lying on the floor of the room.
Nicole had her top and bra torn off her body as a number of girls flog and drag her all over the living room with her braids.
Not done, they take her outside the building and continue the beating. One of the ladies fetches a bucket of water and pours it on the bare body of the victim as they continue to flog her till she runs towards the back of the fenced building out of the camera view.
The vengeful ladies uploaded the clips and they went viral, causing outrage.
Human rights groups have now waded into the matter and an unconfirmed report indicated that the ladies who carried out the assault are now being held by the police.
