There was unrest at Ojota this morning that led many motorists to leave their cars in the middle of the road and scamper for safety.
Many clips from the scene showed abandoned cars on the highway and billows of smoke in some areas. Another clip shows a man lying lifeless across the road with someone shouting in the background that one person had been killed.
A vehicle that appears to be a police van is also on fire in one of the clips.
The genesis of the crisis is not known yet.
