Alex Ekubo made me issue public apology. My eyes are now open – Actor Ekubo’s ex-fiancee, Fancy Acholonu

Nigerian-born American model, Fancy Acholonu has insinuated that she was “manipulated” into issuing a public apology to his ex-fiance and actor, Alex Ekubo, months after she called off their engagement.

Acholonu had in her apology post shared on Thursday, December 29, 2022, said she was sorry for hurting her ex-fiance, Alex Ekubo and his family. The actor also took to the comment section to appreciate her for the public apology.

There was a claim by some sources close to them that the two were actually back together. The source suggested that the actor actually vetted the apology message that the model eventually posted and that she arrived in the country for the festive occasion and stayed with the actor.

However, the moment the apology went viral, Ekubo appeared to unfollow Acholonu.

Acholonu has now confirmed the part about her apology post being engineered and vetted by Ekubo.

She however denied that the two were back together.

Some of her fans had criticized her for appearing to be begging Ekubo. At least one suggested that she was cheapening herself by begging to be taken back.

Responding, Acholonu claimed she was manipulated into issuing the public apology.

In her new year post, she wrote:

“Happy New Year everyone 2023 will be my year of strength, being fearless, speaking up for myself & FINALLY no longer under anyone’s control. I’m free, the chain is broken. May God bless us all.

In an exchange that ensued with her followers shortly after, Acholonu revealed that she never wanted her private life in public space. She added that she was manipulated into issuing the apology and she fell for it.

The model who also said her eyes are now open, further disclosed that people are “attacking’ her without knowing why she called off their engagement.

When someone inquired if she was back with the actor, she retorted that she was not, and that she was happy about it.
