The Lagos State police command has restated that the police officer who shot a resident, Gafaru Braimoh, dead in Ajah recently remains in custody.
The spokesperson of the command had on December 6 released the officer’s name as Inspector Imeh Johnson.
Buraimoh was said to have been out buying fuel when he was hit by a bullet fired by the officer attached to Ajiwe police station in Ajah.
A police officer from the same station shot dead a lawyer, Bolanle Raheem on Christmas day.
There has been speculation in some sections of social media that the officer involved in the Braimoh shooting had been released.
In an update given on Twitter this afternoon, Hundeyin shared the name of the officer again, and assured that the officer is still in police custody.
