Politician faces online backlash after posting photo of himself in bed with his bestie’s girlfriend
A Jalingo-based grassroots politician, Kadiri Ngeah, received unexpected online backlash when he uploaded a picture of himself naked under the duvet with his best friend’s girlfriend in a hotel recently.
In the now-deleted Facebook post, Ngeah uploaded a selfie showing him lying naked under a duvet beside a sleeping lady.
He captioned the picture: “I and my best friend’s girlfriend don lodge for hotel. Truly, some ladies are really cheap.”
The politician who once contested for the post of the councillor of Gembu A ward in Jalingo under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), expected his followers to agree with him that “some ladies are really cheap”.
However, many of his friends and followers ignored that part of his narrative and focused on him.
The reactions were quick, torrential and furious. They blasted him for stabbing his friend in the back and having the effrontery to post the betrayal on social media.
Some others accused him of ridiculing women and exposing himself as a person without integrity.
As the torrents of negative comments poured in, Kadiri quietly deleted the post. However, that has not stopped his friends and followers from trolling him on his Facebook page.
Netizens have bombarded other posts on his Facebook page with negative comments.
Some attached a screenshot of the deleted post to the comment sections of other posts of the politician and added: “Ashawo” and “Betrayer”, among other negative comments.
