An Akure Ondo State-based lady has taken to her Twitter handle to share the death threat she received from a random number via text message.
The lady with the handle @veraholukoye alerted the police about the message. The sender of the message had threatened to kill her for not taking his calls.
The person also said that he knows her information including where she lives and will come to kill her.
A Twitter user left a comment saying this is the new method people use now to possibly extort money from others.
The spokesperson of the Lagos state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, while reacting to the tweet, hinted that an investigation had commenced and that he could assure the lady that the man was not a threat to anyone.
