Armed bandits struck on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Thursday, shooting a man dead and abducting his wife.
The incident happened around Onigaari along the Lagos Ibadan Expressway according to a traveller who filmed the scene and uploaded it.
In the trending video, the man believed to be the husband of the kidnapped woman is still strapped to his seat with his head hanging limply towards the steering.
He has apparently been shot as his blood has formed a pool on the floor of the vehicle.
He appeared to have lost control after being shot and then rammed into the road embarkment.
The handbag of the wife can be seen on the ground beside the Toyota Sienna SUV.
A man can be seen being carried by good Samaritan. His jeans trousers are drenched with blood.
“It’s Fulani herdsmen o! They have killed one person and wounded another man”, screams the man filming the scene shortly after the bandits struck.
