Man who claimed he was abducted at Lekki-Ikoyi bridge and almost killed lied- Lagos police PRO

The spokesperson of the Lagos State police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, has said that a preliminary investigation into claims made by a yet-to-be-identified man that he was abducted and almost killed after boarding a commercial bus at the Lekki-Ikoyi roundabout, showed that the claims are false.

In an update shared on his Twitter handle on November 25, Hundeyin said the man has been advised to show up to help the police in its investigation.

In a viral video, the man made some mind-boggling claims that some suspected kidnappers dressed in military uniforms picked him and other passengers on the popular Lekki-Ikoyi bridge and tried to kill him.

He claimed all the sharp tools used on him did not penetrate him.

He also claimed he managed to bring out his knife and burst the stomach of one of the kidnappers before the gang leader instructed that he should be left alone.
