A lady identified as Odunayo Olumale, 27 is in police custody in Oyo State for allegedly stabbing her husband, Olamilekan Salaideen, 35, to death over sexual demand.
According to the Oyo Police Command spokesperson, Sp Adewale Osifeso, the suspect had returned to her husband’s house on that fateful day after three months of separation.
The deceased reportedly made a sexual advance to the suspect on the night of the incident but she turned it down.
This escalated into violence during which the deceased allegedly smashed his wife’s mobile phone. The suspect retaliated by allegedly stabbing him with a knife in the upper region of the chest.
The incident was reported at the Durbar Police Headquarters, Oyo town, by the father of the deceased.
The statement read, “On 17/11/2022 one Ismaila Tijani reported at Durbar Divisional police headquarters that about on 16/11/2022, his son, Olamilekan Salaideen 35 was stabbed to death by his wife, Odunayo.
