The mother of a 16-year-old boy has taken to social media to solicit help to trace her son who absconded from their family home in Lagos following a minor incident.
According to the mother, their landlady reported the boy to her that he was rude to her husband.
The mother consequently scolded the boy and asked him to apologise to the man he was allegedly rude to.
The boy reportedly protested that it was the man and his wife that abused him and that he did not abuse them back.
The mum insisted and he complied without showing further annoyance.
He then quietly left their home at 18, Adesanya Street, Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos, without taking along his phone.
The phone was passworded and could not be opened by the parents to see if there is anyone he chatted with that he could have run to.
The mother is appealing to Nigerians to watch out for him and contact the nearest police station if seen.
Her post on Rant Hq: “My son left home cos I asked him to apologize to my landlady’s husband. I didn’t know he was annoyed. Though he told me he never offended the man that the man and his wife have been raining all sorts of abuse and cause on him. Pls help me find my son it’s one week already.
