Police arrest three
Jamaican police have announced the arrest of three suspects in connection with the brutal murder of 36-year-old Chinese businessman He Jin, otherwise called ‘Archie’, at his supermarket in Orange Bay in the western parish on Wednesday afternoon.
Superintendent Sharon Beeput, who heads the Hanover Police Division, said the suspects were picked up on Thursday morning but declined to release their identities, citing the early stage of the investigation
Security surveillance footage shows the moment two hooded men walk into the store and open fire on the owner about 4:43 p.m. on Wednesday.
He Jing, the owner and operator of the Orange Bay Supermarket was at the establishment along with employees and customers when the incident happened.
He was however the only one shot. The men hit the businessman multiple times before proceeding to rob the establishment of an undetermined sum of cash and bottles of liquor.
Information indicated that the business was opened only last weekend after a similar business operated in the same location by a female Chinese for two years folded up due to constant robbery.
