A Nigerian man, Frank Wakili, has cried out for justice for his wife, Vivian Frank, who was murdered in her residence allegedly by community touts in Benin City, Edo State.
The man released CCTV footage showing the moment the 35-year-old mom of four was shot dead at her home in Evbomama community along Sapele road on August 6, 2022.
The footage shows three men approaching the residence. Two of them came to the front of the victim’s gate while one looks out for any threat to their operation.
A camera inside the house captures the deceased coming out of her residence followed by others who appear to be her children.
They appear to sense danger at that point and try to flee back into the house, but the assailant fires a shot at the the woman and she falls to the ground while the others flee back into the house.
The assailants also flee.
According to the bereaved husband, the matter was reported to the state CID in Benin but nothing has been done and no arrest has been made despite the fact that three suspects were identified from the CCTV footage.
