A lady has taken to Twitter to thank God after managing to escape from two men who cornered and tried to rape her in the early hours of this morning.
Tweeting with the handle, @b_onkabets, she tweeted: “Managed to outrun two guys who attempted to rape me tonight 😭😭I’m not okay but I Thank God for saving me”
She accompanied the post with a picture of her bruised and dusty legs.
Tweeps have been sending her messages of support since she made the post about 2:58 this morning.
Some queried her about what she was doing out so late when she realized how unsafe women had become in South Africa lately, but overwhelming others offered comforting words to the victim and wished her a quick recovery.
In response to a comment, the victim said she was traumatized by the experience, but was safely in her home.
