Bayelsa man who flaunts money on social media nabbed for kidnapping in Abuja

A man who flaunts money on social media and encourages his followers to “hustle” has been arrested for alleged kidnapping.

The man, John Lyon, lived an affluent life and appears to be related to David Lyon who wanted to be Governor of Bayelsa under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He was traced to Abuja from Bayelsa and was arrested.

A video of Lyon after his arrest shows him begging for mercy. He claimed he had only kidnapped two people in his life.

He also begged to be set free because his wife just had a baby.

However, a man there claimed to be one of Lyon’s victims and insisted the suspect had kidnapped more than two people.

The man claimed he saw Lyon lounging on a chair when ‘they were butchering me to die’.

He vowed that the suspect would be the first person he would point out in court.

Videos of Lyon flaunting money on social media are also being circulated, just as a picture of him in All Progressives Congress (APC) T-Shirt and Cap, being guarded by armed policemen. The T-shirt bears “Vote David Lyon”.
