Social media influencer claims she buys 150 bags of pure water weekly to bathe, cook in Lekki

Lekki is currently trending on Twitter after a social media influencer complained about the lack of potable water in that part of Lagos.

The influencer popularly known as Papaya_ex complained that in spite of the high rent in Lekki, they still spend so much money to get water to bathe, cook and do other household chores.

When a follower asked her how many bags of water she used for bathing, she responded:

“Just 3 bags. But I buy and use 150 bags every because this same pure water is what we use to cook and flush”

While many people accuse her of lying, her tweets have reawakened discourse about lack of potable water in Lekki.

Many are calling on the state government to look into the issue.
