It is now the full-blown war between two erstwhile allies, former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode and ex-Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, and no arsenal is being spared.
The two have now entered Nollywood mode as they organise skits with their household staff to insult each other.
The first salvo was fired by Dino Melaye who filmed himself sitting in his living room when two men walk in and crouch before him.
They say they have come to beg him to organise a dinner for Femi Fani-Kayode, even if it is only once. Dino stands up and says he will never give FFK free food again.
Fani-Kayode (FFK) returned the favour in his own scripted skit.
In the scripted clip which he uploaded on his Instagram page, two hefty men walk into the living room where FFK is seated on a couch and announce that a certain Senator Dino Melaye is outside the gate, wishing to see him.
He responds: “Dino Melaye? But there’s a sign at the gate. You know this. What does the sign say?: No lepers, no stray dogs, no pigs, no country clowns etc are allowed.”
He hauls a few more insults and asks the men to find something for him and let him go.
FFK has other clips and pictures of Dino Melaye on his Instagram page with captions insulting the senator.
In one of the photos, which depicted Melaye in he was drinking garri, FFK wrote: This is Dino Melaye drinking gari when he was still struggling! You can take a man out of the jungle but you can’t take the jungle out of a man!
This clown is real jungle!”
Dino responded on his own IG page that he posted the picture himself. He wrote:
FFK goes ahead to post another clip where Dino Melaye was mingling with a group of youths and one of them can be heard speaking in Hausa. FFK wrote: “He says Dino was taking drugs with him the night before? Tell us more!
My Hausa brothers, please translate…”
