The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi has flown out to the United States of America (USA) to meet with Nigerians in Diaspora.
Obi announced on his Twitter handle on Thursday that he was en route to the USA.
He said he would stop over in Germany to interact with Nigerians in Germany.
The presidential candidate said he held those in the diaspora in very high esteem which informed his visit.
According to Obi, Nigerians in Diaspora represented the core of the nation’s human development capital and contributed immensely to nation-building through remittances and technical knowledge transfer.
He added that his present outing would take him to Germany, Italy, Canada and USA.
Obi said he looked forward to the very constructive engagements.
He tweeted: “En route to the U.S.A, I’ll make a pit stop in Germany to interact with Nigerians in Germany. I hold Nigerians in Diaspora in very high esteem; they represent the core of our human development capital and contribute immensely to nation-building via remittances and technical knowledge transfer.
“My present outing will take me to Germany, Italy, Canada & the U.S.A. I look forward to the very constructive engagements.”
