Bodycam shows terrifying moment knifeman charges at policeman, gets shot in Los Angeles (Video)

A body camera worn by a police officer has shown the terrifying moment a knifeman charged at him after he and his colleague responded to a distress call in Los Angeles.

The policeman shot the man dead in the incident that happened on Thursday in Sawtelle, Los Angeles, Unite States of America.

Police responded around 5 p.m. to the area near Pico and Sawtelle boulevards, near the 405 Freeway, regarding reports of a person with a knife, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement on Twitter.

After an officer arrived and got out of his vehicle, a person holding a knife charged at the officer, police said.

The officer shot the person, who was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Shortly after 9 p.m., the LAPD said the person had died at the hospital.

The body camera worn by the officer attacked and the cameras of his colleagues absolved the policeman of any wrongdoing.

The officer can be heard telling the assailant to stop or he will be shot. The deceased failed to heed the warning.
