Ghana’s Nursing and Midwifery Council is trying to trace a nurse who in a Tik Tok video, threatened to kill all patients that come to the hospital where she works.
The lady who is a student nurse in one of the country’s nursing institutes is heard saying in the video that she is being forced to become a nurse by force by her parents.
She says she is therefore serving a notice to anybody that visits her hospital to expect death as she will make sure they die.
The video got to the attention of the Nursing and Midwifery Council which immediately condemned it and warned nurses, midwives, students, and social media users not to engage in “unprofessional and unauthorised actions” while wearing the uniform.
The council also said an investigation was underway to identify the student and apply necessary sanctions.
Some people reacting to the viral video claimed the lady merely mimicked a Ugandan comedian who joked along that line. They suggested she might just have done the video for clout.
The said student is yet to come out to admit or deny this.
