A student of the Redeemers University of Nigeria (RUN) has been kidnapped.
The student, named Ireoluwa Akinlaja, was reportedly kidnapped about 2 pm on Saturday around the Sagamu interchange, Ogun State.
He was said to be coming back from the Redeemers University of Nigeria (RUN) at the time of the incident.
He was reportedly dropped at the interchange by the bus arranged by the school to wait for his parents to come to pick him up.
According to a relative of the student who put it on social media, before the mother got to where the boy was in 10 minutes, she got a text message: “I have been kidnapped”.
The situation was immediately reported at the Police Station Owode/Egba division.
Later in the evening of the same day, a message was sent to his mother via his own phone, that reads “I will be used for rituals 2morrow”…
The relative who uploaded the message said the last tracked location of the student’s phone was Ikorodu. He also added that his phone is still ringing, but no one is picking the calls.
The Ogun State police command is said to have waded in and trying its best to track the student.
