The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, received a hero’s welcome on Friday night at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Abuja.
Obi, who was accompanied by his Campaign DG Doyin Okupe, attended the service themed “The Judgement Praise Night.”
The ovation was thunderous as the congregation clapped and cheered for a long time after Obi was introduced by Becky Enenche, the wife of Senior Pastor Paul Enenche.
Addressing members of the church, Becky Enenche said: “And we also have tonight, Mr Peter Obi who has joined for the service this evening.”
The entire church erupted into clapping, screaming and cheering.
After Becky Enenchie said ‘All right’ in the hope of moving to other items, the congregation still continued to cheer. Dr. Enenche himself walked to Obi and shook his hand as the applause continue.
After some time, Becky Enenchie said, “What’s happening? You did not warn me about this”.
She later asked the congregation to put on their phones’ flashlight and use it as a wave offering to God.
