Two secondary school students return lost N250,000 to its owner in Jos (videos)

The management of Government Secondary School, Bukuru, Jos South Local Government of Plateau State has honoured two of its students who found a lost sum of two hundred and fifty thousand Naira (N250,000) and returned it to its owner.

The JSS 3 students identified as Naima Hussaini and Righteous Samuel Genesis, found the money within the school premises and took it to their teacher, Mr. Ezekiel Yerima.

Speaking to KT103.9fm Jos on Monday, July 18, 2022, the students said they took the decision to return the money because of the teachings of their different faiths and home training.

According to the teenagers, they were taught not to keep what does not belong to them. They reasoned that not returning the money might cause problems for the owner.

The students called the government to assist them in their education. Naima said she wants to be a medical doctor while Righteous wants to study architecture.

On his part, Mr. Ezekiel said even though they have not received their salary for the past two months, he believes that returning the money is the right thing to do.
