A video has emerged showing the dramatic encounter between a street beggar and a man over a missing bag of alms belonging to the beggar.
The video shows the beggar, a cripple, holding on to the man and refusing to let him go.
The man keeps repeating ‘No be me carry your nylon bag. Abi iru wahala wo leleyi’ (I didn’t steal your nylon bag. Or what sort of trouble is this?)
The beggar would hear none of it and continues to wrestle with the man, bringing him down to the ground once.
The detained man resorts to punching the beggar at some point in exasperation but was cautioned by the spectators, who, incidentally are not lifting a finger to stop the fight.
