Doctor caught on camera raping pregnant woman during C-section (Video)

A medical doctor has been arrested after allegedly raping a sedated woman undergoing a C-section operation.

Anaesthesiologist Giovanni Quintella Bezerra was arrested at the Women’s Hospital in Sao Joao de Meriti, Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil, in the early hours of Monday.

Fellow staff who suspected the doctor watched him and secretly filmed him allegedly sexually assaulting a patient whose C-section surgery he was participating in.

Some of his colleagues claimed to have become suspicious of the doctor’s behaviour following the high doses of sedatives he allegedly gave pregnant women.

They then organized to change the room a delivery was due to take place in at the last minute in a bid to secretly film him on a hidden mobile phone.

The medic had allegedly already participated in two surgeries in a room where filming was impossible.

In the third room where a hidden mobile phone was planted, he was caught in the act and the police were invited to arrest him.

The doctor kept mute during his arrest and now faces rape charges and possible expulsion from medical practice by the Regional Council of Medicine of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Cremerj).

Cremerj said the hospital is providing support to the alleged victim and her family.

It added: “This behaviour, in addition to deserving our repudiation, constitutes a crime, which must be punished in accordance with the legislation in force.”

According to the Sun, the police are trying to track down other potential victims of the anaesthesiologist including, the first two patients.
